Warcraft Directory

World of Warcraft DirectoryI’m a big believer in learning from others and avoiding their mistakes. It’s particularly true in computer games and the people who have been playing for years longer than you are bound to know more about it – so when I started I read a World of Warcraft book. The problem is although this was a nicely bound players guide full of maps and tables that wasn’t what I really needed. I mean who reads tables with skill levels, damage ratios and all that stuff – the tables were so small I could barely read them anyway.

My World of Warcraft book was very much like the Dungeon masters guide I have for playing D&D that’s packed full of useful tables as well – can’t believe I used to work out the proportional damage from a fall and multiply it by a dice roll. No what you need with World of Warcraft is down to earth advice – practical things that make the game more fun that’s why I always buy the unofficial guides written by people who are actively wasting their lives in World of Warcraft right now and justify it by creating some sort of guide. The irony here is that some of these authors make a small fortune out of these WoW gold guides. But hey good luck to them.

An example of one of the tips from a guide I read recently was very simple but effectively saved me hours – instead of me hurtling back and forth from the Auction house with my backpack full of goodies to offload simply create an alternative character and leave them conveniently located near an Auction House and a mailbox. You can then just mail your goodies back for your alt to offload World of Warcraft Gold at the Auction house – I mean how incredibly simple is that and yet it saves loads of time !

Why I didn’t think of it is perhaps why I will never write a World of Warcraft Book although I might be more suited to the pointless table type of publication. If you’re interested in the two Gold guides about World of Warcraft that I was extremely impressed with visit my page and take a look. I have selected a few techniques which are detailed and now have plenty of gold it takes me no time at all to pick up a few hundred or even more when I need it.

In the normal world one can make a journey to the local computer store, buy a game you like, go home and install it, and start gaming. In this time of online gaming that scenario is a little bit idealistic. Things are not that simple anymore. As every computer gamer can tell you, online games are hot the last couple of years and if you want to fully experience your game, World of Warcraft for example, your computer system needs a full spectrum of requirements.

Now, while the base requirements, those necessary to turn the World of Warcraft game on, may not appear so daunting, running any computer game on the minimum requirements is the opposite of fun. For the real serious gamer, there is a difference between ruling the gaming world and stumbling through it. Slow-downs, screen freezes, blue screens and disconnections can ruin any gaming experience. And even when you just start with online gaming you will grow frustrated when you constantly have to wait for images to load and for graphics to scroll. It can even be so slow that you start doubting yourself if you’re doing something wrong.

These days the computer gaming industry and the computer industry, are linked very close together; With each subsequent development in the gaming world, a new, better computer must be purchased in order to successfully run this development. World of Warcraft is no different. Many gamers go through computers as quickly as new versions of the game are released.

World of Warcraft System Requirements

The World of Warcraft system requirements are impressive. World of Warcraft requires a large amount of memory, hard drive space and, above all, a solid
internet connection.

For a Windows system, the minimum World of Warcraft system requirements are as follows:

- Intel Pentium III 800 MHz or AMD Athlon 800 MHz processor

- at least 512 MB of RAM,

- 32 MB graphics card,

- DirectX 9.0,

- 6.0 GB of hard drive space

- 4x CD-ROM

- 56k internet connection.

However, the recommended World of Warcraft system requirements are substantially higher:

- Intel Pentium IV 1.5 GHz or AMD XP 1500+ MHz processor

- 1024 MB of RAM

- 64 MB 3D graphics card

- broadband internet connection

- A two-button, scroll-wheel mouse is also recommended.

Millions of players connect daily to the World of Warcraft servers, and the amount of information being transferred from any one computer to the main terminals is enormous. But with all of these numbers and with all of these devices, frequent gamers know they will need to go above the minimal system requirements to experience the game fully. The minimal World of Warcraft system requirements only guarantee the game to run; they do not guarantee the game to run in a playable fashion.

There are some other known issues to keep in mind

- Some video cards may experience problems displaying certain textural effects while playing. Graphic issues may include colors shimmering across static textures, textures that appear solid green or white, and patches of texture or even geometry that are invisible.

- World of Warcraft/Burning Crusade requires the latest version of DirectX.

- Also, it is important that your video drivers are up-to-date and compatible with the latest version of DirectX. Outdated or incompatible video drivers can cause a variety of video and game play issues.

Something else you should keep in mind is that World of Warcraft had multiple expansion packs and down-loadable patches and these are also a factor into the World of Warcraft system requirements. Overtime, the specifications have shifted, and will keep shifting in the future; what was once acceptable to run the original game is no longer adequate for some expansions and patches. This will force players to upgrade their computers, if they wish to run the latest versions of the game. Gamers really have no choice; in order to compete, they must buy wow gold and a system that meets at least the recommended requirements; otherwise, you will keep stumbling around.
